Well, one knee, actually. I’m currently taking an enforced break in my running again, this time with a niggly pain in my right knee.
The damage was definitely done in my fast Saturday run, and it still isn’t healed. I tried a few miles yesterday, but didn’t get far before the pain got worse. I don’t think it’s serious, and a quick self-massage seems to help, but it soon comes back with increasing discomfort.
As I’ve never had problems with or around my knee, I’m not sure how long it’ll last, or whether it could turn into a long term niggle. I’ve just ordered a book which should give some advice on looking after knees, so that might help.
So, I’m benched again, otherwise feeling fit and ready to go, which is so frustrating. Still, positive thinking and exercises will get me through. I’ll also make the promise right here and now that when I’m back up and running I’ll only push my limits gradually!
